A reminder that midterms are coming.

“We shall fight on the beaches,” he said. “[W]e shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.” Winston Churchill.

The constitution is the law. The separation of powers is real. And the current crisis in leadership is real.

The rule of law and the duty to defend the constitution and serve the people, all people, is the core requirement for any elected official regardless of party.

Time to put Grandchildren over greed. To put a hand up over a hand out. If the minimum wage was a living wage we would have 30% more consumers in our country on the assumption we focused on job creation at all levels of the work force. There is a reason an employee owned company thrives. Schools where children and young adults learn for a new economy, grow an economy and a country.

In a free economy where the tax laws are fair for all, a country can thrive and grow. In November look for leadership the speaks to the we in our country, not the me, and not just for the privileged.

The founders never envisioned a society as diverse as ours is today. What we have learned is a diverse society under an equitable rule of law can thrive and an individual can rise.

Imaging the economic impacts of a country where everyone earns a living wage.

All I hope for is a level playing field and a government that provides that opportunity for all.

And for that we should never surrender.
